Risk Management in Education (RME) training is most frequently conducted either as a standalone professional development opportunity (e.g., as a three day block) or as part of an ongoing topical risk management program (e.g., on a weekly or monthly basis) for cohorts of certified administrators and/or classified supervisors. There are four options available for implementing an RME program in your state, education service center, public school district or charter organization:
Option #1: Self-facilitate an RME staff development program. Public school districts and charter organizations wishing to self-facilitate an RME program may license the required materials directly from UpSlope. All of the resources needed to facilitate the program, including scripted and paced facilitator guides, "blackline master" participant manuals, DVD-based tutorials and situational vignettes, examples of decision support tools and documentation quality assurance tools, samples of the types of documentation and pre-/post-tests, are shipped with the license.

Option #2: Host an UpSlope-facilitated RME staff development program locally. UpSlope also offers onsite facilitated staff development for each RME title. Typically, these RME implementations are conducted either as standalone workshops (e.g., as a three day block) for cohorts of around 15 participants and are facilitated directly by either an UpSlope managing partner or a certified regional affiliate.
Option #3: Attend an offsite UpSlope-facilitated RME staff development program at a regional location. Facilitated RME staff development opportunities are also available on an offsite basis in Scottsdale, AZ and at other regional training centers. These workshops are typically sponsored on a regular basis by School Admistrator Associations, ESCs, ESAs, RESAs and other third party organizations.

Option #4: Subscribe to an RME program online. (NEW!)Each RME title is also offered in a distance learning format and offers the same "to-the-point" tutorials, video-based case re-enactments, evaluative exercises and extension activities used in traditional staff development programs. Online RME programs are ideal for newly certified or recently hired staff, veteran staff who were unable to complete an onsite or offsite program and those that prefer to complete the selected program in a self-paced environment.
